Stable export market
In the world market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to the end of last week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the prices of key commodities are listed as follows:
- 5% broken fragrant rice: 415 – 430 USD/ton
- 100% broken rice: 314 – 317 USD/ton
- Jasmine rice: 478 – 482 USD/ton
Exporters said domestic rice supplies remain abundant after the summer-autumn crop. However, demand from Asian markets has not yet increased strongly, making it unlikely that export prices will increase dramatically in the short term. In addition, the Philippines and Indonesia’s tightening of import regulations is also creating certain challenges for Vietnam’s rice exports.
