Immediately after storm 13 passed, the Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested units and localities to urgently overcome the consequences.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Heads of agencies and units; Party Committee Secretaries, Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards affected by storm No. 13 and floods to focus on leadership, direction, timely and synchronous implementation of solutions to overcome the consequences of natural disasters with the most urgent and drastic spirit, quickly stabilize people's lives; ensure that people do not go hungry, cold, or have no place to live; patients are rescued and treated promptly; students can return to school soon.

In the immediate future, the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards shall focus on quickly repairing damaged essential infrastructure works, especially traffic works serving relief and people's travel; hospitals, schools, and offices; to be completed before November 10, 2025. Urgently organize visits, encouragement, and timely support for families with dead or injured people; families whose houses have collapsed or been damaged and have no place to live; support food, foodstuffs, and essential necessities for households at risk of hunger; absolutely do not let people be homeless or hungry, especially households that have lost all their homes and policy families; to be completed before November 8, 2025. Quickly support people to repair damaged houses, ensure temporary accommodation for people, clean up the environment, disinfect; absolutely do not let people live in the open air.

Continue to organize forces to be on duty, guard, and guide to ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles, especially at culverts, spillways, deeply flooded areas, and areas with fast-flowing water. Proactively overcome incidents and ensure smooth traffic on main traffic routes. Focus on mobilizing forces and resources to clean up schools and classrooms, repair damaged educational and medical facilities; supplement teaching equipment, school supplies, and textbooks for students, ensuring all students can return to school; clean the environment, prevent and control epidemics after floods; complete before November 10, 2025. Mobilize forces and support people to rebuild collapsed houses, complete before January 20, 2026; repair houses with blown-off or damaged roofs, complete in November 2025.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment to continue to closely monitor the weather, floods and rains; water levels on rivers and reservoirs. Direct the implementation of measures to protect dykes, irrigation dams and agricultural production. Support and guide localities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, repair irrigation works, and restore agricultural production after floods to be completed by November 2025.

Storm No. 13 made landfall in Gia Lai, causing heavy damage; Storm No. 13 killed one person and injured two others. About 500 houses collapsed, more than 3,000 houses had their roofs blown off; one boat sank; three traffic points were eroded (An Vinh commune). In Hoai Nhon Bac ward, rising sea water flooded more than 3,000 coastal households; the depth of flooding was 10-40cm; in some places, it was 50-80cm.

Thousands of hectares of rice and crops were damaged; many livestock and poultry died. Many electric poles and trees were knocked down; billboards, signs, and glass doors were severely damaged. The entire province suffered widespread power outages; communications were cut off; at the time of reporting, they have not been restored...
