Attending the conference were Major General Ha Nhu Loi - Deputy Head of the General Department of Logistics and Technology; Major General Hua Van Tuong - Deputy Commander of Military Region 5; Colonel Nguyen The Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Comrade Lam Hai Giang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Implementing the direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense , from July 2025, the General Department of Logistics and Technology has urgently deployed a plan to purchase and equip more than 6,000 motorbikes for more than 3,000 commune-level military commands nationwide.
Of which, Military Region 5 is assigned 980 vehicles; Gia Lai Provincial Military Command alone is assigned 270 Honda Wave Alpha vehicles. This is the type of vehicle selected by the Ministry of National Defense based on technical features suitable to the terrain characteristics, ensuring durability, ease of use and convenience in technical maintenance work.
Speaking at the conference, Major General Ha Nhu Loi affirmed: The handed-over motorbikes are not only material assets, but also demonstrate the attention of the Party and State, the determination of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to build and consolidate local armed forces; contributing to building a strong national defense and people's war posture in the new revolutionary period.
Major General Ha Nhu Loi also requested units to receive, manage, and use vehicles strictly, in accordance with regulations, effectively, ensuring safety, economy, and traffic safety.
