According to experts, this sharp increase in prices shows that the market is establishing a new, higher price level. With the impact of political, commercial and supply-demand factors, Robusta coffee is forecast to maintain its upward momentum in the coming time, opening up new opportunities for Vietnamese farmers.
According to data from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first 9 months of 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports to the UK reached 28.3 thousand tons, worth 171.5 million USD, up 24.2% in volume and 70% in value over the same period in 2024.
The main reason comes from the sharp increase in coffee export prices, helping domestic businesses expand revenue and improve their position in the European market.
Statistics from the International Trade Center (ITC) show that in the first 7 months of 2025, the UK imported 130,500 tons of coffee, down 0.1% in volume but up 43.8% in value over the same period last year.
Vietnam is still the second largest coffee supplier to the UK, after Brazil, with its market share increasing from 15% to 20%. In the first 7 months of the year alone, the amount of coffee imported by the UK from Vietnam reached 25.6 thousand tons, up 28% in volume and 107% in value.
Pepper prices are stable

World pepper market remains stable
According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), pepper prices updated to October 23, 2025 remained almost unchanged in most exporting countries.
Specifically, the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) remained unchanged at 7,229 USD/ton, while Muntok white pepper remained unchanged at 10,085 USD/ton.
Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 price stood at USD 6,100/ton and remained unchanged.
Malaysia's ASTA black pepper price was stable at USD 9,500/ton, while the country's ASTA white pepper price remained at USD 12,500/ton.
Vietnamese pepper prices remain unchanged, with 500 gr/l black pepper at 6,400 USD/ton, 550 gr/l at 6,600 USD/ton, and white pepper at 9,050 USD/ton.
This morning, domestic pepper prices remained stable at around 146,000 VND/kg, a level that has remained stable for many consecutive days, reflecting a period of market stability after previous fluctuations.
Experts believe that the sharp price increase in July when pepper reached nearly 150,000 VND/kg originated from the expectation of scarce supply. However, in recent weeks, the market has shown signs of returning to balance.
According to the assessment, the current price maintenance in the highlands is considered a positive signal, reflecting the stability in the supply-demand relationship. If the supply continues to tighten, pepper prices may exceed 155,000 VND/kg by the end of the month; conversely, if farmers sell a lot, prices may be adjusted down slightly to match the volume of goods in circulation.
