Pepper prices today in some key growing areas remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the domestic pepper price level is from 151,000 VND/kg to 152,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands region, pepper price today in Dak Lak remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 151,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today in Gia Lai is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 151,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today in Dak Nong is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 151,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, pepper prices today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau are currently at 152,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai is unchanged from yesterday at 152,000 VND/kg.

In addition, pepper price today in Binh Phuoc is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 151,500 VND/kg.

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Community (IPC) has updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on May 11 (local time) as follows:

Indonesia's Lampung black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $7,323/ton. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,918/ton.

Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 price remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,800/mt.

Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,200/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price remained stable from yesterday at $11,900/ton.

Prices of all types of pepper in Vietnam remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of 500 gr/l black pepper in Vietnam reached 6,700 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton.

Similarly, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,700/ton.

Last week, pepper prices in Vietnam dropped sharply from 3,000 to 5,000 VND/kg. In Dak Lak and Dak Nong, agents purchased at a price that was down by 5,000 VND/kg compared to last week. In Gia Lai, the decrease was smaller, only about 3,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, Binh Phuoc recorded a decrease of VND3,500/kg in pepper prices. Meanwhile, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Dong Nai, pepper prices decreased by VND3,000/kg compared to last week.

In the world market, black pepper prices in Indonesia and Malaysia also recorded a downward trend last week. Specifically, Indonesia decreased by 0.23%, Malaysia decreased by 1.08%.

According to Nhan Dan newspaper, Dak Nong currently has nearly 34,000 hectares of pepper, with an output of about 70,000 tons per crop, leading the country in terms of area and ranking second in output after Dak Lak. To aim for sustainable development, the locality is focusing on improving product quality, promoting value chain linkages and applying agricultural production processes according to GAP standards.

Currently, Dak Nong has 10 sustainable pepper production and consumption chains, with a total area of ​​1,630 hectares, managed by 2 production groups, 5 cooperatives and 2 enterprises. About 1,000 households have participated in these chains, with an output of over 3,800 tons per crop. The chains are developing positively, both in scale and production efficiency.

In addition, the province also has 24 pepper production facilities according to certified standards, with an area of ​​over 3,100 hectares. Of which, two high-tech pepper production areas have been recognized, located in Thuan Ha and Thuan Hanh communes, Dak Song district, with a total area of ​​over 1,549 hectares.
