Recent price movements are seen as a short-term recovery after a period of consolidation at the beginning of the month. The domestic market is not yet vibrant, and liquidity remains low, but buying pressure from traders has helped prices inch up compared to previous days.
Given the relatively balanced supply and demand, pepper prices are forecast to remain stable within a narrow range. A slight increase is still possible if export activity improves significantly towards the end of the year.
According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association, 2025 is considered a relatively positive year for pepper businesses, despite the continuous fluctuations and potential risks in global trade.
The pepper industry is expected to achieve export revenue of approximately $1.6 billion this year, thanks to persistently high export prices. Coupled with the effective utilization of the 16 free trade agreements that Vietnam has signed, the prospect of market expansion continues to be a crucial driving force for businesses and farmers.

Today's world pepper prices

Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper is priced at US$6,075/ton. Malaysian ASTA black pepper is priced at US$9,000/ton; the price of Malaysian ASTA white pepper is US$12,000/ton.
Today, Vietnamese black pepper is trading at US$6,500/ton for the 500 g/l variety; US$6,700/ton for the 550 g/l variety; and white pepper at US$9,250/ton.
According to data compiled by the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), in November 2025, Vietnam exported 18,013 tons of pepper, earning $118.5 million. Compared to the previous month, both export volume and value decreased slightly, but compared to the same period in 2024, it increased by double digits, reflecting that market demand remains strong.
In the first 11 months of 2025, Vietnam's pepper exports reached 223,242 tons with a value of US$1.51 billion. While the volume decreased compared to the same period last year, the value increased sharply by more than 24%, indicating that high export prices compensated for the decrease in production.
The average export price of pepper in November reached US$6,580/ton, a slight decrease compared to October and the same period last year. However, the average for the first 11 months of 2025 still reached US$6,764/ton, more than 30% higher than the same period in 2024, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, reflecting an upward price trend amidst tight global supply.
Regarding the market, Vietnam's pepper exports in November recorded significant improvements in many major destinations such as the US and UAE, both in volume and value. Compared to the same period last year, many markets experienced very strong growth, notably Egypt, the UAE, and France, thus demonstrating the continued strengthening of Vietnam's position and competitiveness in the international market.
