At 6:30 a.m. Vietnam time, the world gold price was still falling rapidly, falling from 3,036 USD/ounce to only 2,987 USD/ounce, a loss of 55 USD/ounce (about 1.7 million VND/tael). The gold price started to plummet as soon as the new week's trading session opened.

Gold prices continued to sell off in the international market today, continuing the downward trend at the end of last week.

Investors are rushing to sell gold, after a series of hot increases in recent months. Gold prices are expected to adjust down in the short term, after information related to the US's tariff policy towards other countries has been reflected in recent price fluctuations.

Gold prices fell sharply as soon as they opened

Not only individual investors but also investment funds can take profits on gold prices, creating strong adjustment pressure in the short term.

If calculated from the record peak of 3,167 USD/ounce, the gold price has now "evaporated" nearly 200 USD/ounce.

For the domestic gold market, the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings closed the weekend at around VND97.1 million/tael for buying and VND100.1 million/tael for selling. Domestic gold prices are expected to adjust down according to world prices, although there will be a certain delay.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 93.2 million VND/tael.
