World gold prices continued to fluctuate strongly. The price of precious metals fell when US economic data was better than expected with a report showing that the number of non-agricultural jobs increased more than expected. Asian and European stock markets mostly increased.

Meanwhile, the latest information shows that the US-China trade war is showing signs of cooling down, and the prospects for tariff negotiations are brighter. The USD index remains high, close to 100 points... All these factors have put pressure on gold prices.

Contrary to the world gold price, domestic gold prices continued to increase at the end of May 2. Currently, SJC gold bar prices are listed by SJC, PNJ, and Bao Tin Minh Chau at VND119.3 million/tael for buying and VND121.3 million/tael for selling - an increase of VND300,000 compared to the morning.

Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold also has a difference between stores. Mi Hong Company bought gold rings at 113.5 million VND/tael, sold at 115 million VND/tael - an increase of 500,000 VND compared to the morning. Some other businesses sold gold rings at a higher price, at 116.6 million VND/tael.

Domestic gold prices continue to increase, going against the downward trend of world gold prices. However, the gap between domestic and world gold prices remains very high. The world gold price currently converted at the listed exchange rate is around VND102.5 million/tael, VND12-18 million/tael lower than SJC gold rings and gold bars.
