Gasoline prices reverse to increase, RON 95 close to 20,000 VND/liter

Gasoline prices at today's adjustment period (July 31) were adjusted up after two consecutive decreases, RON 95 gasoline approaching the 20,000 VND/liter mark.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance announced changes in retail prices of petroleum products this afternoon (July 31).

Based on the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, petroleum businesses will simultaneously adjust petroleum prices from 3:00 p.m. today.

At today's operating session, gasoline prices were adjusted up.

Specifically, compared to the previous adjustment period, the price of RON 95 gasoline level 3 (the popular type on the market) in today's adjustment period was adjusted up by 140 VND/liter, the retail price was 19,840 VND/liter. Similarly, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 130 VND/liter, the retail price was 19,400 VND/liter. The price of diesel oil decreased by 60 VND/liter, the retail price was 19,060 VND/liter.

Previously, in the operating period on July 24, gasoline prices were adjusted down by 210-220 VND/liter. In contrast, diesel prices increased by 330 VND/liter.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that this agency has basically completed the review, assessment and analysis of the implementation of Decision 53/2012 on the roadmap for applying the blending ratio of biofuels with traditional fuels.

Manufacturing enterprises and business contacts are required to prepare facilities, equipment and vehicles to be ready for production, mixing, transportation and distribution of E10 bio-fuel nationwide.

From tomorrow (August 1), as directed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Oil Corporation (PVOil) will sell E10 gasoline at its retail gasoline stores in Hanoi and Hai Phong; Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex ) will sell E10 gasoline at 36 retail gasoline stores of its business in Ho Chi Minh City (before the merger).

After the pilot phase, businesses will continue to upgrade, convert and develop E10 gasoline sales points; ready to implement the roadmap for using E10 gasoline nationwide from January 1, 2026.
