Gasoline prices drop sharply, RON 95 close to 19,000 VND/liter

DNO - On the afternoon of April 10, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced an adjustment in retail prices of gasoline and oil products. Gasoline and oil prices have both decreased by 1,120-1,710 VND/liter from 3:00 p.m. today.

Gasoline prices dropped sharply from the afternoon of April 10.

Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline was adjusted down by VND1,490/liter, down to VND18,880/liter; the price of RON 95-III gasoline (common type on the market) decreased by VND1,710/liter, down to VND19,200/liter.

Similarly, oil products also decreased during this management period. Accordingly, diesel oil price decreased by 1,230 VND/liter, down to 17,240 VND/liter; kerosene price decreased by 1,320 VND/liter, down to 17,410 VND/liter; fuel oil decreased by 1,120 VND/kg, down to 15,900 VND/kg.

In this management period, the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade continues to not use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.

Thus, the domestic price of RON 95 gasoline has turned down after 3 consecutive increases. Currently, the price of this fuel is at its lowest level in nearly 4 years, equivalent to May 2021. Since the beginning of the year, RON 95 gasoline has increased 8 times, decreased 7 times. Diesel oil has increased 7 times, decreased 7 times and remained unchanged once.
