Today's world oil prices
World oil prices fell across the board in today's trading session, September 18th (Vietnam time). At 10:20 AM (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at $69.59 per barrel, down $0.37 per barrel, or 0.53%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at $69.96 per barrel and opened today's session at $69.93 per barrel.
Brent crude oil was trading at $73.32 per barrel, down $0.38 per barrel, or 0.53%. Brent crude closed the previous trading session at $73.70 per barrel and opened today's session at $73.70 per barrel.
Thus, at the close of trading on September 17, oil prices rose by more than 1% due to increased supply disruptions and traders betting that demand would increase if the US Federal Reserve (Fed) cut interest rates.
However, in the trading session on September 18th, oil prices reversed course. According to analysts, world oil prices fell after US gasoline and oil inventory data showed an increase. Specifically, US inventories of gasoline, oil, and distillate products all increased in the week ending September 13th. Data from the American Petroleum Institute showed that gasoline inventories increased by 2.34 million barrels; oil inventories increased by 1.96 million barrels; and distillate product inventories increased by 2.3 million barrels.
Domestic fuel prices today
On September 18th, the retail prices of gasoline and diesel fuel, according to Petrolimex 's published price list in Zone 1 and Zone 2 (applied to 46 provinces and cities), are as follows:
The aforementioned domestic retail prices of petroleum products were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the price adjustment session on the afternoon of September 12th. Accordingly, the price of RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 1,190 VND/liter, E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 1,080 VND/liter, diesel fuel decreased by 930 VND/liter, kerosene retail price decreased by 934 VND/liter, and mazut fuel price decreased by 688 VND/kg.

The discounted prices of petroleum products today, September 18th, at some domestic gas stations are as follows:
PV Oil's discounts on September 18th are as follows: Diesel discount: 1,500 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 900 VND/liter.
Tu Luc fuel company's discounts on September 18th are as follows: Diesel: 1,450 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 850 VND/liter.
MIPEC fuel discounts on September 18th: RON 95 - III: 1,200 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 800 VND/liter; diesel: 1,650 VND/liter.
Forecast of domestic gasoline and diesel prices for the next period.
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic gasoline and diesel prices will fluctuate according to the global oil situation. Based on current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, gasoline and diesel prices may decrease, by about 100-200 VND/liter.
Since the beginning of the year, starting from the price adjustment on January 4th, gasoline prices have increased 17 times and decreased 19 times. Diesel prices have increased 16 times and decreased 20 times.
