Gasoline and oil prices have both decreased since 3pm today, following adjustments by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The price of RON 95-III gasoline (the popular type on the market) decreased by 120 VND, down to 23,170 VND per liter. Meanwhile, E5 RON 92 is at 22,170 VND per liter, down 110 VND.

Oil products have new prices of 17,610-20,660 VND per liter. Compared to 7 days ago, diesel has decreased by 330 VND, down to 20,500 VND per liter. Kerosene is 370 VND cheaper, and fuel oil is down to 17,610 VND per kilogram.

Gasoline and oil prices   change as follows:

E5 RON 92 gasoline 22,170 - 110
Diesel 20,500 - 330

Thus, since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have increased 16 times and decreased 12 times. Oil prices have increased 14 times and decreased 14 times. Similar to the previous adjustment period, today the joint ministries will not use or spend from the Price Stabilization Fund for fuel products.

Since the beginning of the year, each liter of RON 95 gasoline has increased by VND1,260 per liter, while diesel has increased by VND1,140.

The operator said fuel prices fluctuated last week due to a decrease in US crude oil reserves, expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will cut interest rates in the second quarter to boost the economy and oil demand, and the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine. On average, finished gasoline decreased by about 0.6-0.7% over the 7-day period, and oil by 1.9-2.2%. Accordingly, each barrel of RON 95 gasoline fell to 97.1 USD, diesel to 99.3 USD, and fuel to 514.5 USD per ton.
