Many people said they like to buy Chinese goods on e-commerce platforms because of the variety of designs, reasonable prices, very low shipping fees and especially fast delivery - Photo: TTD
Even though the online sales program (livestream) was held in China, Vietnamese customers still rushed to close orders.
According to our research, to have low shipping fees, even free, the "big guys" in the field of e-commerce (TMĐT) such as Taobao, Shopee... all cooperate with large shipping companies, including companies in the ecosystem.
Stores on these platforms enjoy high discounts from shipping companies, free or discounted shipping for a certain number of orders...
Cheap price, including shipping fee!
At nearly midnight, the Biz... channel on TikTok still had more than 300 people following a female employee speaking Vietnamese with a broken accent, selling women's handbags from China, priced from only 200,000 - 450,000 VND.
"This is a high-end product. This bag is the designer my family wanted to make. Let me take a closer look, my love. This is white, there is also coffee color, there is enough space," the female employee said in Vietnamese.
When asked where the sale was being broadcast, the store said it was in China. However, customers were still given a discount code for shipping. For convenience, many also set up warehouses in Vietnam.
Sharing about his recent trip to China to learn and sell online, beauty blogger Vu Duy (Call Me Duy, champion of the reality show KOC Vietnam 2022) said that in just one sales session in Guangzhou, he achieved billions of VND in sales with more than 5,000 orders of a domestic Chinese perfume brand.
Although broadcast in China, the goods are ordered in Ho Chi Minh City and will be delivered in about 2-3 days.
The brand launched many free shipping codes to make shopping easier for customers.
"Yesterday was the first time Duy exploded with 10-digit sales on live. After the live, I was so touched that I cried. Thank you everyone for supporting Duy so much. Although the team in China is very professional in shipping, if there is any problem, please remember to give feedback for Duy," he said.
According to research, when shopping through the TikTok platform, many customers also receive a shipping fee discount code of 25,000 VND for orders worth 45,000 VND or more and a discount of 70,000 VND for orders worth 150,000 VND or more.
Trying to order items through the Shopee app, Ms. Tran Dan Thanh (33 years old, Binh Thanh District) said that the number of Chinese items appearing is quite dense.
Many Chinese stores set their addresses as "international". Domestic shipping time is about 1-3 days, international shipping usually takes 5-10 days. However, shipping costs do not differ significantly. For example, recently I bought two phone cases for a total of 53,000 VND, with free shipping of 17,000 VND.
Based on the delivery history, it can be seen that after a successful order is placed, the order arrives at the Shenzhen warehouse (China), clears customs, is imported into Vietnam, goes to the warehouse for sorting, goes through the post office and reaches the customer in just... 5 days!
In fact, according to Ms. Thuy Duong (29 years old, Tan Binh district), the same Chinese brand shaver product, ordered in China, will be cheaper and delivered faster than when ordered from a shop in Vietnam!
Invest systematically in logistics
In addition to selling price, shipping is one of the competitive factors of e-commerce platforms. Fast delivery and low prices when purchasing Chinese goods through e-commerce platforms are not only thanks to the support policies of the Chinese Government but also the proactive investment in capacity from Chinese sales enterprises and logistics infrastructure, combined with the professionalism of customs clearance service units in Vietnam.
For example, Best Express (part of Best Inc., China) has invested tens of millions of USD in a sorting center in Vietnam, while promoting its franchised post office system, undertaking cross-border delivery for Shopee, TikTok... platforms, including Vietnam.
After receiving the order, the company's transport team in China will go to the factory to collect the goods and transport them to the warehouses waiting for cross-border shipping.
All goods to be transported to Vietnam are gathered at Best's two large warehouses in Dongguan (Guangdong) and Jinhua (Zhejiang). A representative of Best Express said that connecting directly with manufacturers to collect goods at the warehouse will help shorten shipping time.
"Instead of going to the factory and transferring goods to the export border gates, the owner only needs to close the order and set the cost. The logistics including transfer, warehouse gathering and export will be handled by the company," he said.
Speaking to Tuoi Tre, Mr. Le Trung Dung - Project Management Board of the national e-commerce platform ECVN, Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade - said that in order to quickly deliver goods to cross-border buyers, Chinese businesses pay great attention to investing in order processing capacity. When an order arises, the order care and processing team usually takes no more than 30 minutes to pack and deliver the goods to the collection location.
In addition, many products on e-commerce platforms of Chinese enterprises (foreign stores) are pre-ordered in fulfillment warehouses, so receiving and processing are faster than ever. In addition, the application of information technology and artificial intelligence in the order processing process is also thoroughly applied by Chinese enterprises...
"E-commerce businesses in China have very impressive order processing capabilities. Businesses operating on e-commerce platforms are also always aware of optimizing customer experience.
Therefore, in addition to good policies for customers, they always consider time as the focus of a good experience. Customers in China never have to wait too long after placing an order and this is always improved every year," said Mr. Dung./.
Customs clearance services in Vietnam are increasingly professional According to Mr. Le Trung Dung, China owns a world- leading transportation network, including traffic systems, means of transport, warehouses, ports... creating the premise to help the circulation of goods in this country become fast at reasonable costs. The extremely large market size also helps businesses in China to buy, sell, transport and deliver goods quickly. The high number of orders and processing needs lead to logistics companies in this country having a huge market to exploit, optimizing costs. The increasing level of trade between Vietnam and China also forces units providing border clearance services to increase processing speed faster and faster. In particular, the explosion of international booths on domestic e-commerce platforms (Shopee, Lazada, TikTokshop...) has created a driving force for customs clearance service providers in Vietnam to become increasingly stronger and more professional. "Incentives for importing goods through e-commerce and the increasing experience and capacity of customs clearance service units also have a positive impact on the speed of transporting goods from abroad to Vietnam. Some orders are even transported from China to Vietnam faster than domestic transport," Mr. Dung commented. |
