Disbursement of STEM study loan program

On the afternoon of September 22, the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank (SPB) Song Cong - SSP Branch of Thai Nguyen province held a signing ceremony of the credit contract for the Loan Program for studying STEM majors in Bach Quang ward.

Song Cong Social Policy Bank transaction office organized the signing of the disbursement contract for the STEM study loan program.

At the signing ceremony, delegates were informed of the basic contents according to Decision No. 29 of the Prime Minister and the Guidelines of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies on lending operations for students, master's students, and biological researchers in science , technology, engineering, and mathematics (loans for studying STEM majors).

The maximum loan amount includes: The total tuition fee, living expenses and other study expenses of the student up to 5 million VND/month; the loan interest rate is 4.8%/year. The repayment period is after the student graduates, the amount to be paid is divided into repayment periods with the repayment rate for each period decided by the Social Policy Bank.

Customers borrowing up to 500 million VND/student do not have to guarantee the loan repayment obligation. Customers borrowing over 500 million VND/student must guarantee the loan repayment obligation with assets according to the provisions of law.

This is the first credit contract signing ceremony in Bach Quang ward managed by the Song Cong Social Policy Bank Transaction Office. The first disbursement is 68.5 million VND to cover the cost of studying and living in the first school year, on the total approved loan limit to cover the cost of studying and living for all 5 years of school at the school, amounting to 342.5 million VND. The loan term is 125 months, with an interest rate of 4.8%/year.

STEM is a key field, playing a fundamental role in training high-quality human resources, meeting the requirements of national development in the period of industrialization, modernization and digital transformation. The loan policy for students studying STEM is a policy of the Party and the State, very practical, contributing to helping the young generation feel secure in studying, researching and contributing to the Fatherland.
