Breakthrough solutions applying science and technology to management and production

BTO- The Department of Science and Technology of Binh Thuan in coordination with the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations organized a scientific workshop: Breakthrough solutions in applying scientific and technological advances to management and production practices in Binh Thuan province, this morning, May 27. Attending were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, district-level People's Committees, universities, colleges, enterprises in the province; representatives of universities, research institutes, experts, scientists.

In his opening speech, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Hoai Trung emphasized: “The workshop is an opportunity to strongly promote the connection and cooperation between scientists with state management agencies and the business community in the province; identify specific challenges in the application of science and technology in the locality; suggest appropriate orientations, mechanisms, policies and solutions to bring science and technology into practical life, truly becoming a direct production force, contributing to improving the efficiency of management and socio-economic development of the province. The above solutions are implemented according to Action Program No. 102-CTr/TU dated February 21, 2025 of the Standing Committee of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, Plan No. 677/KH-UBND dated February 25, 2025 of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee; in accordance with the policy of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo , Resolution No. 03/NQ-CP dated January 9, 2025 of the Government on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation development”.

Associate Professor, Dr. Do Phu Tran Tinh shared some experiences in building and implementing policies to encourage businesses and people to apply technology in production and business.

At the workshop, the presentations of experts and scientists provided many practical perspectives, application solutions, and practical policy proposals to improve the effectiveness of science and technology application for the province's advantageous fields. Specifically, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Xuan Cuong, Deputy Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, introduced a model of a factory integrating high technology such as enzyme technology, AI, blockchain and NFT, processing agricultural and aquatic by-products into value-added products (capsules, masks, biological packaging materials). Associate Professor, Dr. Do Phu Tran Tinh, Director of the Institute for Policy Development, Ho Chi Minh City National University, shared international experiences (Korea, Singapore, USA, China) in implementing policies to encourage businesses and people to apply technology; proposed a suitable policy model for Binh Thuan, emphasizing the role of digital infrastructure, innovation, credit incentives and training of digital human resources. Dr. Phan Cong Kien, Deputy Director of Nha Ho Cotton Research and Agricultural Development Institute, informed about the results of mass transfer of new crop varieties (grapes, apples, custard apples, aloe vera, ...), organic farming processes, greenhouse applications, water-saving irrigation and production and consumption chain linkage models; circular agriculture models and VietGAP help increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance the value of agricultural products. EDEN HUB Agricultural Technology Joint Stock Company presented practical experience in digitalizing agricultural production, applying technologies such as AI, IoT, digital farming management platforms and QR codes for traceability.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Cuong, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, delivered a speech at the conference.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, representative of the province's science and technology enterprise, shared the application of technology in production activities.

Signing of cooperation agreement between science and technology enterprises and Felix e-commerce platform.

Within this framework, the science and technology enterprise of EDEN HUB Agricultural Technology Joint Stock Company signed a cooperation agreement with the Felix e-commerce platform in the application of science, technology, and digital transformation in the agricultural sector. Delegates attending the workshop also exchanged and discussed a number of solutions for applying scientific and technological advances into management practices for the merged commune-level areas that will be put into operation in the near future; encouraging businesses and people to apply technology in business and production. Representatives of the Department of Science & Technology and experts satisfactorily answered the issues of concern to delegates.
