The first "Pickleball Unesco Travel+" competition

VHO - The UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club recently organized its first "Pickleball UNESCO Travel +" tournament in 2025, attracting 60 athletes who are staff and employees working at tourism businesses that are members of the Club.

This is a meaningful community sports activity that contributes to improving health, strengthening interaction and connection among businesses, thereby promoting cooperation and tourism development in Hanoi and the whole country.

The tournament was held in a lively and friendly atmosphere, with three competition categories: women's doubles, mixed doubles, and men's doubles. Athletes from various sectors of the tourism industry, such as travel, transportation, and accommodation, delivered exciting and dramatic matches, demonstrating high sportsmanship, solidarity, and responsibility.

In his opening remarks at the tournament, Mr. Truong Quoc Hung, President of the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club, emphasized: “The UNESCO Travel + Pickleball Tournament is not only a physical training activity to improve health, but also has important significance in connecting the tourism business community.”

According to Mr. Truong Quoc Hung, over the years, the UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club has always focused on developing corporate culture alongside professional activities.

In addition to business experience sharing programs and professional training, the Club regularly organizes sports activities such as football and pickleball to strengthen cohesion and sharing within the tourism business community.

This is the foundation for building a strong, civilized, and sustainable tourism business community, thereby contributing to improving the quality of service and the image of the Vietnamese tourism workforce,” Mr. Hung affirmed.

Speaking on behalf of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Tai, Director of VietSense Travel Company, said that despite being the first time organizing the tournament, it has received a positive response from businesses and athletes.
