Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province Nguyen Viet Hien continues to be suspended from work.

On August 21, regarding violations in the results of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province decided to extend the temporary suspension of the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province, Nguyen Viet Hien, for another 15 days from August 21 to serve the inspection work.

During the inspection period, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien is responsible for strictly implementing the decision to extend the temporary suspension from work; providing full relevant information and documents and complying with the requests of the head of the inspection team and competent authorities as prescribed.

Recently, the Inspectorate of Thai Binh province announced the results of the inspection of the entrance exam for grade 10 of the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province. The inspection showed that there were 2,997 exams with incorrect scores, and 2,750 exams with incorrect scores. The total number of essay exams with incorrect scores was 2,769, of which 1,368 exams had scores higher than the announced scores and 1,401 exams had scores lower than the announced scores. According to the new admission scores for the first round at the admission councils of mass high schools, 237 candidates changed from not being admitted to being admitted and 243 candidates changed from being admitted to not being admitted.

Faced with these violations, the Thai Binh Provincial Inspectorate recommended that the Thai Binh Department of Home Affairs advise the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee to continue extending the suspension period for Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien to serve the inspection work.

Previously, on July 30, the leaders of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee decided to temporarily suspend Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien from work to serve the inspection work.
