According to the initial investigation, Ngoc's mother-in-law, Ms. TTT, and sister-in-law, Ms. MHI, had previously filed a complaint with the police accusing Ngoc of borrowing more than VND826 million. Of which, Ngoc borrowed VND650 million from her mother-in-law and VND176 million from her sister-in-law. Every month, Ngoc is obliged to pay her mother-in-law and sister-in-law VND10 million each.

In July 2022, Ngoc asked his sister-in-law to bring the debt papers to his house so that he could pay the monthly installments. Here, taking advantage of his sister-in-law's carelessness, Ngoc quickly hid 2 debt papers. Then, Ngoc added to the debt papers the content "paid off all debts" with the purpose of appropriating the above amount of money.

Currently, the case is being further investigated and handled by the Investigation Police Agency of Ca Mau Province according to the provisions of law.
