On October 19, Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee held a conference to support production and business establishments to enter e-commerce platforms.
It is known that after more than 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic and the complicated and unpredictable developments of the world situation, it has had a significant impact on Vietnam's economy in general, including Dak Lak province and Buon Ma Thuot city.
With the change in consumer shopping behavior from direct to online shopping, in addition to traditional sales methods, businesses also "livestream" sales on social networking platforms. This online sales method has brought high efficiency in retailing goods on the network environment, increasing revenue for businesses, production and business establishments.
Mr. Tran Duc Nhat - Vice Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee commented: The development potential and benefits of e-commerce are huge, however, in reality, there are still many challenges for businesses when participating, especially small and medium enterprises.
In order to support businesses, production and business establishments, the City People's Committee has coordinated with units that are experts in the field of digital technology , multi-channel communication solution providers, provincial e-commerce platforms, and multi-platform connection platforms to directly exchange with businesses.
According to Mr. Nhat, to help businesses overcome the shortcomings in bringing products to customers, the city will gradually build an e-commerce development program with the task of linking, exchanging, and cooperating between economic sectors and consumers, implementing programs to support businesses, production and business establishments from the beginning of participation to the time of doing business and operating in the online environment.
However, in order for products to be accepted by consumers, businesses themselves must equip themselves with quality goods, from technical standards to packaging, labels, especially sales methods through all channels, from traditional to modern and e-commerce platforms.
