On the second day of the April 30 and May 1 holidays, Ha Long continued to be a crowded destination attracting a large number of tourists to the coastal city.

According to Tuoi Tre Online , the atmosphere in Ha Long is vibrant and bustling from the streets to the entertainment spots.

"From the street, shops are crowded, usually the distance from Muong Thanh to the museum is about 8km, it only takes 15 minutes but today it took nearly 1 hour", Ms. Bich Doan ( Phu Tho ) shared.

On the morning of May 1, the Quang Ninh Museum was in chaos due to the large number of visitors. Traffic jams occurred from the ticket office, ticket gates to the tourist attractions on all three floors. People behind followed the people in front to visit.

According to Ms. Van Anh ( Hanoi ), due to heavy rain in Ha Long this morning, tourists are looking for indoor attractions, while Quang Ninh Museum is the ideal destination.

"My children and I went to the museum but didn't have time to visit. If we stayed too long, it would cause traffic jams. There were many places where we couldn't move, so we had to move step by step," said Ms. Van Anh.

Crowding was also reported at many other tourist attractions such as Sung Sot Cave and kayaking spots.

At a famous Ha Long yogurt shop in Bach Dang ward (Ha Long city), the number of customers increased suddenly, many customers had to wait in line. Due to the long waiting time, many tourists had to give up and go home.

On the first day of the holiday, Quang Ninh welcomed about 165,000 tourists, of which Ha Long welcomed over 75,000.

On the occasion of April 30 and May 1 this year, Quang Ninh organized many activities, typically the Ha Long Carnival program with the theme "Connecting heritage - Shining pioneers" opening at 8:00 p.m. on May 1 at Sun Carnival square.

The event consists of 4 parts: opening art program, Ha Long Carnival, electronic music party, high-altitude fireworks display.

Besides, there are also the Tran Quoc Nghien Temple Festival, Taekwondo Championship for all age groups, Open Lion Dance Festival, Ha Long Beer - Squid Cake Festival...
