On the evening of November 24, in Madeira (Portugal), the World Travel Awards announced Vietnam as the " World's Leading Heritage Destination 2024". This is the 5th time Vietnam has been honored in this category, the previous times were in 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023.
In addition to this title, Vietnam also has local destinations that have been awarded the world's leading awards: Hanoi was honored to receive the title of "World's Leading Tourism Management Agency 2024"; Phu Quoc Island won the title of "World's Leading Natural Island Destination 2024"; Ha Nam was awarded the title of "Special Achievement Award 2024"; Tam Dao won the title of "World's Leading Tourist Town 2024", along with many other world-leading awards for outstanding Vietnamese airlines, travel agencies, and tourism businesses.
Ha Nam’s tourism strengths have traditionally been its rich historical and cultural heritage, ancient pagodas and the tranquil natural landscapes of northern Vietnam. With efforts to turn Ha Nam into a leading hub for high-tech industries and clean agriculture, an ambitious world-class tourism investment and development campaign will propel Ha Nam to the forefront of the global tourism industry in the coming years. In particular, many current international and national investment projects will make Ha Nam a unique, attractive and inspiring tourist destination of the 21st century. For that reason, the Special Achievement Award 2024 has been awarded to Ha Nam.
