Hanoi announced the list of nearly 680 students admitted directly to grade 10.

Of these, 106 are students at ethnic boarding schools.

408 students are disabled students and 164 students won national prizes in culture, arts, sports, science and technology research competitions. In addition, among the students admitted directly to grade 10, this year Hanoi also has 1 student from a very small ethnic group.

Students who are eligible for direct admission will have to complete the admission procedures at the registered high school according to the regulations of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. Specifically, they will have to confirm their admission from July 10-12; submit their admission application from July 19-22.

Next school year, the whole city will have 679 students eligible for direct admission to grade 10 of public high schools.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , there are 5 subjects that are directly admitted to grade 10 of public high schools, including: Students of ethnic boarding high schools, students of ethnic minorities, students with disabilities, students who have won national prizes organized by the Ministry of Education and Training or in coordination with ministries and ministerial-level agencies on a national scale for competitions in culture, arts, sports, scientific research and technology; students who have won prizes in international competitions decided and selected by the Minister of Education and Training.

This year, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a new circular on junior high school and high school admissions, which stipulates more strictly the subjects of direct high school admission.

That is the content, junior high school students won national prizes organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, or coordinated with ministries and ministerial-level agencies to organize "on a national scale" for competitions, exams, and contests on culture, arts, and sports; national science and technology research competitions for high school students.

This regulation aims to unify the goals and competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training but must be widely announced nationwide for the Departments of Education and Training and provinces to announce, so that all students know and understand publicly, all students know to participate.

Hanoi's 10th grade entrance exam will take place on June 6-7 with more than 100,000 candidates registering to take the exam.
