Hanoi introduces special dishes through the Culinary Culture Festival

Pho - a culinary dish that has become a unique brand of Hanoi.

On the afternoon of November 29, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports organized the announcement of activities of the Hanoi Food Culture Festival 2023 and Hanoi Food Culture Exchange with international friends.

Hanoi is not only a land of thousands of years of civilization, famous for the elegance of Trang An, but also a place where the quintessence of the country's cuisine converges.
Among them, there are famous dishes such as: Pho, vermicelli with snails, vermicelli with grilled pork, vermicelli with thang, spring rolls, green rice flakes...

After expanding its administrative boundaries, Hanoi has received many specialties from the Doai and Son Nam Thuong regions, with many villages having unique culinary dishes.

To introduce the quintessence of Hanoi cuisine to the public, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports will organize the Hanoi Food Culture Festival 2023 and Hanoi Food Culture Exchange with international friends from December 1 to 3 at the Tran Nhan Tong Walking Street - Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung District).

The festival includes a series of unique culinary cultural activities, with about 80 booths, divided into many areas.

At the area introducing the culinary culture of typical craft villages, people and tourists will experience and enjoy Hanoi's specialties: Me Tri green rice, Phu Thuong sticky rice and sweet soup, So village vermicelli, Bao Phuong traditional moon cakes, Uoc Le ham, Thach Xa lam tea, Ngau village wine, Quang Phu Cau porridge, Hoa Nam rice rolls, Thach Xa lam tea, Tam Hiep eggplant with soy sauce, Yunnan red banana, Ha Mo se porridge...

In which, some dishes are recreated, introducing skills and practice processes.

The sales and culinary areas of the provinces and cities will introduce specialties of some regions: Ha Giang (humpback banh chung, smoked meat and mint honey...); Bac Ninh (chrysanthemum wine, phu the cake, banh te, nem bui, peanut candy, che lam, fish sauce with water bugs and water bugs essential oil...); Ha Nam (Cham Cham peanut candy, Dai Hoang royal banana and Nhan Hau braised fish); Ninh Binh (Ninh Binh goat meat); Quang Binh (ginseng jam and ginseng tea, ginseng stewed chicken and tapioca cake); Quang Nam (Quang noodles, chicken rice, pomelo sweet soup, cao lau, corn sweet soup and various sandwiches)...

In addition to the culinary spaces, the festival also has many activities such as: Photo exhibitions on culture, tourism, and typical domestic and international cuisine: Denmark, Venezuela, India, Iran, Panama, Korea, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia...; mobile book exhibition introducing books promoting typical domestic and international culture, arts, tourism, and cuisine.

In addition, locals and tourists will be able to participate in folk games, cultural, artistic and culinary exchanges with other countries; watch traditional art performances: Ca Tru, Cheo, Xam singing, Trong Quan singing, Do singing, Trieu Khuc drum dancing; gongs of the Muong people, etc.

The Organizing Committee said that the festival will be controlled for food hygiene and safety; hand washing and sanitation areas will be arranged so that guests can enjoy the products with peace of mind.
