Hanoi supports up to 70% of the cost of the program to improve startup business capacity

On September 29, the Hanoi People's Council voted to pass a Resolution on Regulations on mechanisms and policies on investment and support for the development of the innovation and creative startup ecosystem of Hanoi.

The subjects of application are state management agencies of Hanoi city; enterprises, science and technology organizations, intermediary organizations supporting innovative startups in Hanoi; organizations and individuals participating in the city's innovative and innovative startup ecosystem.

Specifically, the city's innovation and creative startup ecosystem is a collection of organizations and individuals with roles and mutual relationships to promote innovation and creative startups in Hanoi , including: Enterprises, research institutes, universities, intermediary organizations supporting innovative startups, technology exchanges, investors, and state management agencies.

Activities to support innovation and creative startups are activities that provide resources and services for innovation and creative startups, including: Intellectual property, standards, measurement, quality, technical infrastructure, workspace, legal, market information, finance, trade, communication, investment connection and other necessary support...

The Resolution also clearly states the priority for key areas of science and technology of the Capital as stipulated by the City People's Council in the Resolution detailing a number of policies on science and technology development of Hanoi city; new technologies, products, services or business models that are innovative, have great socio -economic impacts, and are capable of solving urgent problems of the city.

The Resolution also stipulates many preferential policies for subjects, notably policies for enterprises, organizations managing and operating science and technology infrastructure, innovation and digital transformation managed by the city to enjoy the following financial support:

Support up to 70% of the cost of building and organizing capacity building support programs for innovative start-up businesses; the cost of using available infrastructure at the High-Tech Park, Hanoi Innovation Center, Technology Incubator, Hanoi Technology Exchange, Hanoi Cultural Industry Center to conduct controlled trials.

Support up to 70% of the cost of hiring experts, consultants, and regular consultants but not more than 3 years.

Support up to 100% of the cost of selecting innovative startup projects.

Support up to 100% of loan interest and credit guarantee when borrowing from commercial banks.

Support up to 100% of the cost of organizing activities to connect the city's innovation and creative startup ecosystem, including: events, forums, seminars, competitions, investment - technology - market connection programs.
