Hanoi: Over 40 billion VND donated to the Fund 'For Vietnam's Sea and Islands' in 2025

At the ceremony, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Lan Huong said that in order to continue affirming the affection and responsibility of the cadres, soldiers and people of the capital for the sea and islands of Vietnam, promoting the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country, with the whole country", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city called on agencies, organizations, units, enterprises, religious organizations; cadres, soldiers, people of all walks of life and overseas Vietnamese of the capital to uphold the tradition of patriotism, loyalty, towards the sea and islands of the Fatherland, actively respond to support the Fund "For the sea and islands of Vietnam" in 2025. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city is committed to ensuring efficiency, publicity, transparency and timeliness in the management and use of the fund.

According to Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, in recent times, the mobilization of the Fund "For Vietnam's Seas and Islands" of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi has become an activity of profound political and social significance. From 2016 to present, the people of the capital have contributed more than 509 billion VND to the Fund "For Vietnam's Seas and Islands". From this fund, the city has supported the construction of 11 multi-purpose cultural houses as well as provided spiritual and material support to cadres, soldiers and people on the islands of Truong Sa island district, proving that there is always a Truong Sa in the heart of Hanoi.

In 2025, the time to support the Fund "For Vietnam's Seas and Islands" will start from April 18 to June 30. At the launching ceremony, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi received support from 48 organizations and individuals with a total amount of more than 40 billion VND.
