Hanoi opens hotline to receive and handle harassment cases in administrative procedures

Hanoi announced the hotline 0768.221.221 operating from today (May 28) to receive and handle cases of harassment, abuse of power, and causing trouble in carrying out administrative procedures.

The Inter-sectoral Inspection and Supervision Team for administrative procedure control, internal administrative procedures, handling of feedback and recommendations on the Digital Capital Citizen Platform in 2025 has just publicly announced the team's "Hotline".

The hotline is directly managed by Mr. Cu Ngoc Trang, Director of the City Public Administration Service Center, who is also the Head of the inspection and supervision team.

People and organizations can report via phone number: 0768.221.221 (support via call, Zalo, Viber) during office hours on weekdays.

People can report violations of officials and civil servants of the City Public Administration Service Center.

Information and recommendations focus on violations in the process of handling administrative procedures by officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the City Public Administration Service Center and State administrative agencies of Hanoi City, such as: Abuse of power, harassment, causing trouble and difficulties for organizations and individuals carrying out administrative procedures;

Preventing organizations and individuals from choosing the form of submitting documents, receiving and returning results of administrative procedure settlement according to the provisions of law;

Refusing to perform, prolonging the time to resolve administrative procedures or arbitrarily requesting additional records and documents outside the provisions of law;

Passing the buck, lack of cooperation, unfairness, lack of objectivity, and illegality in the process of handling administrative procedures;

Conduct and communication that are not in accordance with office culture regulations and other illegal acts in the performance of official duties.

To ensure effective handling, the complainant must provide full name, address, and contact phone number. The complaints and recommendations of individuals and organizations must be expressed in the form of text messages, Vietnamese (with accents) or direct phone calls (for complaints via hotline numbers).

The content of the reflection and recommendation must be clear. Individuals and organizations are responsible for the honesty and accuracy of the information.

The public announcement of a hotline to receive feedback on administrative procedures demonstrates Hanoi's determination to improve the quality of service to the people, promote administrative reform and build a democratic, service-oriented administration towards the interests of the people and society.

The inspection and supervision team began receiving feedback and recommendations via the hotline from today (May 28).
