Hanoi: Giving away 6,000 shopping vouchers to workers at Tet Market 2026

In order to better care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Labor Confederation (HCY) has implemented a Plan to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026.

Accordingly, with the theme "Happy Tet - Spring of gratitude to the Party", on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, the Hanoi City Labor Confederation will organize many activities to care for and support union members and workers.

Specifically, it is expected that on February 7, 2026, the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party" will take place at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace Hall with the participation of 600 union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances. Here, each union member and worker will receive a subsidy of 1,000,000 VND, a gift worth 300,000 VND and a voucher worth 500,000 VND to buy goods at the "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026".

The union organizes subsidized booths to take care of the lives of workers in the capital.

In addition, the City Labor Federation organizes the city-level program "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" at the Social Housing Area, Thien Loc Commune (January 31 to February 1, 2026) and at the Exhibition Hall Salon - Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace (February 7 to February 8, 2026).

Tet Market offers “0” VND booths; booths selling products, goods, and necessities for Tet, with a discount of at least 10% compared to the actual selling price; giving gifts and cultural and artistic activities to serve employees, workers, etc.

At the Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026, the Labor Federation is expected to give away about 6,000 vouchers worth 500,000 VND to union members and workers in difficult circumstances; give away 6,000 "0 VND" gifts, each worth 300,000 VND.

The City Labor Federation also implemented the online program "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor by distributing 9,300 online shopping vouchers, each worth 500,000 VND to Union members and employees (those who have not received shopping vouchers directly at the program "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026").

On this occasion, the City Labor Federation also organized delegations of leaders of the City Party Committee, Fatherland Front, and City Labor Federation to directly visit, wish a happy New Year, and give gifts to 600 union members and laborers in difficult circumstances; who themselves or their relatives (wife, husband, children) have serious illnesses, accidents, natural disasters, fires, occupational diseases; union members and laborers whose working hours have been reduced, who have lost their jobs, whose labor contracts have been suspended, or whose income has decreased... The subsidy level is 1 million VND/person.

At the same time, the Labor Federation also organized car trips to take union members and workers of high-tech parks and industrial parks home to celebrate Tet with about 30 cars (1,200 supported). It is expected that on the morning of February 4, 2026 (ie December 27, At Ty year), the cars will depart from Thang Long Industrial Park.

Support bus fares for 5,500 employees in provinces such as Thanh Hoa, Dien Bien , Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri... to return home for Tet at the rate of 300,000-700,000 VND/person depending on the destination.

The City Labor Federation also provided financial support for each commune and ward union to organize a Tet celebration program for union members and laborers at the rate of 50 million VND. Financial support for giving gifts to union members and laborers in especially difficult circumstances: 20 gifts, each gift worth 300,000 VND.

For grassroots trade unions, on this occasion, they will organize visits, give gifts, and wish the New Year to union members and workers; organize "Union Year-end Dinner" for the Year of the Horse 2026 for union members and workers; organize activities to celebrate Spring and Tet, visit and encourage union members and workers who cannot return home to celebrate Tet...

The City Labor Federation noted that all levels of the city's trade unions should strengthen dialogue and negotiation activities with employers on production plans, salary payments, and Tet bonuses; plans to increase regional minimum wages according to the Government's new Decree; plans to care for the material and spiritual lives of union members and employees during Tet by employers and inspect and supervise their implementation. Timely detect and have solutions to ensure the rights of union members and employees in enterprises facing difficulties, unpaid wages, business owners fleeing or dissolving or going bankrupt. At the same time, require trade unions at all levels to promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and employees before, during and after Tet. Propaganda and mobilize union members and employees to celebrate Tet and enjoy Spring safely, comply with the provisions of the law and return to work on time as prescribed.
