Hanoi organizes the 3rd Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival in 5 days

The 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival in 2024 will take place for 5 days, from (November 29 to December 3, 2024) at Mailand Hanoi City Urban Area, An Khanh Commune, Hoai Duc District. It is expected that 260 units will participate in displaying, introducing and promoting agricultural products and craft villages.

The Organizing Committee said that the 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival in 2024 is an important and practical event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Party Committee of Hanoi City agencies (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Department of Agriculture (now the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, November 30, 1954 - November 30, 2024).

The event also aims to create favorable conditions for all levels, sectors, economic sectors, organizations, businesses and individuals to participate in trade promotion activities for agricultural products and craft village products; at the same time, promote economic growth and development in the agricultural and rural areas of Hanoi city.

In particular, the organization of the Festival also aims to accelerate the new rural construction program, preserve the village community space and traditional products and products, create motivation to restructure the agricultural sector in a sustainable direction, contributing to the comprehensive development of agriculture and rural areas.

It is expected that the 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival will have 260 units participating in displaying, introducing and promoting agricultural products and craft villages, including 152 units from 25 districts, towns and cities of Hanoi; 116 units from 25 neighboring provinces and cities and 32 domestic and international units and enterprises.

The opening ceremony of the Festival will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on November 29, 2024 at Mailand HaNoi City Urban Area, An Khanh Commune, Hoai Duc District, Hanoi City with a rich and attractive art program to praise the agricultural sector and rural development, praise the Capital, praise the love for the homeland and country; reenact activities with historical and cultural depth, with the meaning of educating the traditions of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas; the tradition of building and developing the Capital and the country.

The program also includes performances honoring the diligence and creativity of farmers and agricultural officials; honoring the achievements of Hanoi's agricultural and rural development sectors.

The opening night will also feature footage of the 70-year journey of construction and growth of the capital's agriculture and rural development sector through the reportage: Hanoi's agriculture sector: 70 years of glory, firmly stepping into the future.

Typical products of the craft village were displayed at the Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival.

Within the framework of the Festival, products in the field of agricultural and rural development will be displayed, promoted, introduced and promoted, with an exhibition area of about 15,000m2, divided into the following areas: Area for displaying, introducing and promoting typical agricultural products and craft villages of districts, towns; Area for agricultural products and craft villages; Area for demonstrating the skills of artisans in craft villages; displaying and introducing OCOP products; introducing community tourism spots, agricultural and rural tourism models in Hanoi;

Area for enjoying the quintessence of Vietnamese tea; Ornamental Plants Area; Area for performing arts and introducing Vietnamese cuisine; Area for displaying, introducing and manufacturing gift and souvenir products; High-tech agricultural area; machinery, equipment and materials for agricultural production and craft villages; Standard booth area for displaying agricultural products and craft villages of provinces, cities and enterprises, organizations and cooperatives.

In addition, the Festival also has a workshop to evaluate the results of the implementation of the coordination program to ensure food safety, quality of agricultural, forestry and fishery products traded between Hanoi and provinces and cities in 2024; Workshop "Orientation and Solutions for Urban Agriculture Development in Hanoi"; Livestream program to connect product consumption, in coordination with Tiktok Vietnam.
