Hanoi opens two more points for issuing and renewing driving licenses

Previously, on November 10, the Hanoi Department of Transport authorized the reception and return of results of administrative procedures for issuing and reissuing driving licenses at the one-stop department of the People's Committees of My Duc and Dong Anh districts.

After being deployed at these two locations, the pressure on the two one-stop locations of the Department of Transport at 258 Vo Chi Cong (Xuan La Ward, Tay Ho District) and 16 Cao Ba Quat Street ( Dien Bien Ward, Ba Dinh District) has been reduced. According to the Department of Transport, after authorizing the locality, on average, the one-stop location of Dong Anh and My Duc districts receives approximately 100 applications per day.

In order to continue creating favorable conditions for people, next week the Department of Transport will continue to deploy 2 more points for issuing, exchanging and reissuing driver's licenses in Ung Hoa district (November 20) and Phu Xuyen district (November 22).

Thus, in the coming time, Hanoi will have 6 locations for issuing and exchanging driving licenses, including: No. 258 Vo Chi Cong (Xuan La Ward, Tay Ho District); No. 16 Cao Ba Quat Street (Dien Bien Ward, Ba Dinh District), People's Committee of My Duc District; Dong Anh District; Ung Hoa District and Phu Xuyen District. People go to the one-stop department at these locations to complete the procedures.

To avoid having to come back many times, the Hanoi Department of Transport recommends that people should prepare a complete application. For the application for changing a driver's license, it includes: Application for changing a driver's license (according to the prescribed form); Health certificate issued by a competent medical facility according to regulations (currently prescribed form of the Ministry of Health ); Photocopy of the driver's license; 2 color photos 3x4 in the form of an ID card, blue background; Take a photo directly at the place where the application is received.

When submitting an application for a driver's license exchange, you must present your driver's license, ID card/citizen identification card or passport for verification.

In case of re-issuance of driving license: The driver must submit an application for re-issuance; Original copy of the lost driving license (if any); Original file matching the driving license (if any); Health certificate issued by a competent medical facility as prescribed (currently prescribed form of the Ministry of Health); Photocopy of driving license; 2 color photos 3x4 ID card style, blue background; Take photos directly at the place where the application is received.

Previously, from the beginning of October 2023, the number of people coming to apply for a driver's license renewal at the two one-stop offices of the Hanoi Department of Transport at 258 Vo Chi Cong (Tay Ho) and 16 Cao Ba Quat (Ba Dinh) increased. Every day, about 700 people came directly to submit their driver's license renewal applications, leading to overloading this procedure, an increase of 50% compared to normal days.

In addition to coming in person to exchange, to avoid waiting time and traveling many times, people can exchange their driving licenses online on the National Public Service Portal. With this form, people can choose to receive the results at home.
