Currently, the Hanoi Department of Transport continues to perform professional tasks according to regulations, ensuring that work is not interrupted and does not affect people.

Today (February 19), the Hanoi Department of Transport has sent a document to the City People's Committee reporting on the coordination work to serve the handover of state management tasks on testing and granting of road motor vehicle driving licenses from the Department of Transport to the City Police.

According to the Hanoi Department of Transport, on February 6, 2025, the Hanoi Department of Transport coordinated with the Survey Team on state management of testing and granting of road motor vehicle driving licenses of the Traffic Police Department and the Vietnam Road Administration at the Department of Transport.

Next, on February 11, 2025, the Department of Transport coordinated to organize a working session with the Survey Team on state management of testing and granting of road motor vehicle driving licenses of the Hanoi City Police at the Department of Transport.

From February 12, 2025 to present, representatives of the City Police (Traffic Police Department) and the Department of Transport (Vehicle and Driver Management Department, Department Office) regularly conduct surveys, discuss and agree to prepare the necessary conditions to hand over the task of testing and granting driving licenses from the Department of Transport to the City Police.

Notably, the Department of Transport is currently continuing to perform its professional duties according to regulations, ensuring that work is not interrupted, affecting people and service businesses.

At the same time, prepare the contents related to the handover of the task of testing and granting road motor vehicle driving licenses from the Department of Transport to the City Police until there is an official handover document.
