Hanoi: Restaurant fire caused by electrical equipment failure caused no casualties

The Ba Dinh area team under the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department ( Hanoi City Police) said that at around 8:20 a.m. on May 16, the unit received a fire report at 23 Phan Dinh Phung Street (Quan Thanh Ward, Ba Dinh District). The unit mobilized 2 fire trucks and officers and soldiers to urgently go to the scene to put out the fire.

After about 10 minutes, the fire was promptly handled by the Ba Dinh Area Team in coordination with the People's Committee of Quan Thanh Ward. The initial cause was determined to be an electrical equipment failure in the kitchen area on the 5th floor of the 6-storey restaurant unit, with a fire area of ​​about ^1.5m2 .

The fire caused no human casualties, property damage is being assessed.
