On April 23 and 25, Thanh Binh Primary School and Kindergarten (Hai Duong city) coordinated with Phoenix VietnamEducation Development Company Limited to organize the Experience Day "Traditional professions of my hometown Hai Duong" attracting the participation of 2,600 primary school students, preschool children and hundreds of teachers and parents of the two schools.

At the festival, the two schools organized dozens of booths simulating the production process, displaying and introducing dozens of items and traditional handicraft products of Hai Duong homeland.
Thanh Binh ward's Banh Giay and Gio Suot stall introduces the production process of traditional dishes imbued with the hometown flavor of Hai Duong people.
With a layer of fragrant sticky rice cake made from yellow sticky rice, combined with delicious, chewy pork sausage, this simple cake has become the pride of the people of Suot village. Not only attractive for its flavor, sticky rice cake, this place is also associated with the cultural beauty, about the traditional festival of Thanh Binh homeland every spring.

At the "to he" booth, a colorful folk toy made from sticky rice flour - has been an indispensable part of the childhood memories of many generations of Vietnamese people.
With skillful and talented fingers, the artisans have "breathed life" into each handful of dough, creating lovely figurines in the shape of buffaloes, dragons, Tam, Cuoi...
With the guidance of the artisans, children can mold their favorite animals and characters, and bring them home as a gift of childhood memories. Each work is not only beautiful but also carries within it a folk tale, a lesson about kindness, loyalty, and the pure joy of childhood.

Although the job of making gai cake is rustic and simple, it requires a lot of effort from the baker, from choosing gai leaves, soaking rice, pounding, mixing flour to the sweet and fatty filling made from mung beans, coconut, sesame, lard, sugar...
All are mixed together, wrapped in a layer of dried banana leaves, tied with soft strings, when steamed, the aroma fills a corner of the countryside. At this booth, students are guided by artisans to knead dough, roll cakes, wrap leaves like tiny craftsmen and immerse themselves in the countryside space.

At the woodblock carving and printing experience corner, children can witness a unique traditional beauty. Woodblocks are our ancestors' "manual printers", where each carving and printing line carries the national spirit.
Here, children can admire traditional prints with folk motifs, Han Nom characters, and images of ancient customs; try printing a folk painting or simple motif on paper using manual techniques; and listen to stories about the history and story behind each woodblock.

At the Traditional Craft Experience Day, students also "transformed" into young artisans making pottery, rice crackers, green bean cakes, green rice flakes, playing the role of "teachers" writing calligraphy, and participating in many useful and interesting folk games imbued with national cultural identity such as catching loach in a jar, blindfolded smashing a clay pot, playing "ball-playing", playing "o an quan"...
Through this activity, the schools hope to create a useful playground, helping students not only directly experience the production stages but also better understand the ingenuity and hard-working spirit of local people.
