According to the cultural, sports and tourism cooperation plan between Hai Duong province and Vientiane province (Laos) for the period 2024 - 2028, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong coordinates with Vientiane province to carry out exchange, cooperation and experience sharing activities in culture, arts, sports and tourism to introduce traditional cultural identities, countries and people of the two countries in general and the two provinces in particular.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong helps Vientiane province train 2 cadres (or students) to reach a basic level of Vietnamese, then study to improve their qualifications in the field of culture and art for 2 years. Send art troupes from Hai Duong to visit and perform to introduce the traditional cultural identity and cultural heritage values of Hai Duong on major holidays of Laos; cultural and political events of the two provinces.
Every year, in the field of sports , the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong welcomes 9 people from Vientiane province to come for short-term training from 2 to 3 months.
Coordinate and create conditions for the Tourism Association and tourism businesses of the two provinces to survey tourist routes and destinations, exploit the tourism potential and advantages of each locality and organize tourism promotion conferences to attract tourists from Vientiane to Hai Duong and vice versa.
In recent times, Hai Duong and Vientiane have had many visits and exchanges in various fields. Through this cooperation, the two localities have contributed to consolidating, maintaining and developing the good friendship and cooperation relationship.
