Crowds of people flock back to Hanoi after the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday

On the afternoon of the 5th day of Tet, tens of thousands of people from all over the provinces and cities with their belongings, flocked back to Hanoi after the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday.
Recorded at 3:00 p.m. on February 14 (the 5th day of Tet), although the elevated Ring Road 3 was clear, below, vehicles were jammed together on Khuat Duy Tien Street.
It is estimated that to pass through the Khuat Duy Tien - Nguyen Trai intersection, vehicles must stop and wait for 3-4 traffic lights.
To move quickly, many motorbikes spill onto the sidewalk.
People, crammed with belongings, flocked back to Hanoi on the afternoon of the 5th day of Tet.
Children struggled to stand on motorbikes following their parents back to the capital.
Because they couldn't call a motorbike taxi or taxi, some people had to walk from the bus stop back home.
At 3:30 p.m., a long line of cars moved from the South of Hanoi, heading towards National Highway 1A to Ngoc Hoi - Giai Phong Street.
Vehicles have to inch their way along this road.
At 4:30 p.m. at the end of the Phap Van - Cau Gie highway, vehicles were lined up to enter the city.
However, due to the presence of functional forces to direct and regulate traffic, the area connecting the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway to the elevated Ring Road 3 was only slightly congested, and vehicles could still move.
At My Dinh bus station this afternoon, people from Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Lao Cai , Vinh Phuc provinces... also began returning to the capital after the Tet holiday.
According to observation, there are no empty seats on the buses returning to the capital.

At Giap Bat and Nuoc Ngam ports, thousands of people from Ninh Binh, Ha Nam , Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa provinces... with their belongings returned to the capital.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung (Nam Dinh Province) returned to the capital by bus and shared: "Although the bus was crowded, the transportation was quite convenient and not crowded with passengers."
