This is one of the activities organized by Hue City to respond to National Tourism Year - Hue 2025.

The Central Coastal Nature Museum is currently preserving and displaying 6 main sets of specimens, including a set of geological and mineral specimens with 184 typical specimens of Vietnam and Hue City; a set of Hue forest wood specimens with 28 precious wood specimens; a set of insect specimens with 170 specimens vividly displayed in the "insect tree" model; a set of captive butterfly specimens with nearly 2,000 specimens.


In addition, the Museum also displays a collection of aquatic specimens with more than 1,600 specimens, including about 1,500 fish specimens from the Huong River, Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon and more than 100 fish specimens, bivalve specimens collected in the Son Cha - Hai Van sea area designed for display in an aquarium; a collection of rare animal specimens with specimens of tigers, Sao La, civets and many other wild animals.


Mr. Nguyen Dang Thach, an officer at the Central Coastal Nature Museum, said that in addition to the above samples, the museum also displays three samples of silicified woody plants dating back 199 million years.
In recent days, the Museum has welcomed thousands of visitors, mostly primary, secondary and high school students and students from schools in Hue City to visit, experience and study.

The leader of the Central Coastal Nature Museum affirmed: “The museum is open free of charge from Monday to Saturday every week to create opportunities for students and tourists to visit, experience, learn and research to better understand the importance of biodiversity. Thereby contributing to improving community education on protecting nature, environmental resources, especially rare and endangered wild animals and plants.”
