Training "super fast" English learning method for more than 7000 students

BBST is a method introduced by the Government Office to the Ministry of Education and Training in 2018, researched by Dr. Nguyen Trong Giao, helping learners master 1000 vocabulary words after a few months, and use 18 tenses fluently through just 1 diagram.

After studying and working with Dr. Nguyen Trong Giao, Mr. Mai Hoang Anh decided to incorporate the above method into the teaching program at Odin.

“The method focuses on creating a natural and lively learning environment. Learners should use their senses to enhance their ability to absorb knowledge such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. At the same time, applying the principle of time logic to learning grammar helps learners easily understand and remember verb tenses,” Mr. Hoang Anh explained about BBST.

To make the method more approachable and suitable for young learners, the academic team at Odin has developed BBST through designing projects to integrate into training. Students will practice voice acting, learn foreign languages ​​through music , write stories, and practice speaking reflexes through interviews and drama.

According to Odin representative, since its establishment, the center has trained more than 7,000 students using BBST method.

Cooperating with British Council to organize IELTS test

In addition to training activities, Odin has also become one of four units in Vietnam licensed by the Ministry of Education and Training to cooperate with the British Council to organize IELTS exams from 2022. In the past 2 years, Odin has organized nearly 8,000 IELTS exams at Dong Tac test site No. 1 alone with international standard facilities according to British Council standards.

Talking about the opportunity to become one of the four partners of the British Council in organizing the exam, Mr. Hoang Anh said: “I want to build a training model so that my students can both study and take the exam at my unit. Maybe the content I presented at educational seminars has “touched” the British Council, making them understand our vision and goals of sustainable education.”

To make the IELTS learning and testing journey of students more complete, Mr. Hoang Anh also organizes many free IELTS mock tests at Odin testing locations. The mock tests are organized to help students have an experience similar to the real test, thereby familiarizing them with the test process and the psychology of the test room.

According to Odin representative, in addition to being a partner of the British Council in organizing the exam, Odin has also become an IELTS training and testing partner of many leading universities and high schools in Hanoi such as: University of Commerce, University of Economics - VNU Hanoi, Kim Lien High School, Nguyen Trai High School, Quoc Oai High School...

Entering a new journey, Mr. Hoang Anh set two clear goals in improving the quality of teaching and organizing IELTS exams at Odin.

Firstly, build the most spacious and modern IELTS test center, becoming the first choice of students nationwide, while continuing to develop the BBST method to suit contemporary learners. Secondly, implement projects of the city, of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to provide IELTS supplementary English training for students throughout Hanoi.
