The Japanese have always cherished profound values, where knowledge and perseverance are not only for self-improvement, but also the foundation for a better society. The great thinker Yukichi Fukuzawa once said: " The highest goal of knowledge is not fame or wealth, but how it can create positive changes for society ."
This idea inspired Mr. Tetsuo Oji - co-founder of TokyoLife, and became the core value and foundation of TokyoLife today - a brand that wishes to serve society with all its heart.
“TokyoLife's mission is not only to become a reputable retail company, operating for the benefit of consumers, but also to spread good values to the community,” said Mr. Tetsuo Oji, co-founder of the TokyoLife brand.
Throughout its journey of service, TokyoLife has built a solid ecosystem to bring good values to the community. One of the happiest milestones of the brand is creating jobs for 142 people with disabilities, with diverse job positions and free accommodation.
Understanding the difficulties that people with disabilities face when looking for jobs, TokyoLife has created an equal and mutually supportive working environment, helping them confidently integrate into the community, create more value for themselves, help their families and then contribute to society.

This inspiring journey of TokyoLife was honored to receive the Human Act Prize 2023 and was recorded in the book "Pioneer's Mark" - the first publication about innovation in business models with positive social impact in Vietnam.
As part of its environmental campaign, TokyoLife has also demonstrated its pioneering spirit, becoming one of the first retail brands in Vietnam to say "no" to plastic bags. Since 2019, TokyoLife has implemented a policy of stopping providing free plastic bags with purchases and encouraging the use of reusable cloth bags, which helps to significantly reduce the amount of single-use plastic bags released into the environment.

TokyoLife also organizes annual marine waste collection campaigns from North to South. Every year, employees and volunteers launch environmental protection movements and participate in beach cleaning activities. TokyoLife hopes to spread awareness of nature protection to the community through practical actions.
The annual campaign "Pick Up Trash Together - Clean the Beach" is TokyoLife's continuous effort to reduce the impact of plastic waste on the environment.
Sharing more about the mission, Mr. Tetsuo Oji - co-founder of TokyoLife brand, said: "TokyoLife will continue its journey of serving with all its heart, with the motto of putting customers and social responsibility first. We believe that when everyone strives towards a common goal, society will become better and better and everyone will live happier. "
