Australian Business Association explores investment opportunities in Can Tho City

(CT) - On June 24, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, along with relevant departments and branches of the city, received and worked with the Australian Chamber of Commerce (AusCham) in Vietnam to explore cooperation opportunities and investment prospects in Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region.

At the meeting, the representative of AusCham in Vietnam gave an overview of AusCham's activities in Vietnam. This is an organization representing the Australian business community operating and investing in Vietnam and is a bridge to promote trade and investment cooperation between the two countries. Currently, AusCham has nearly 300 members who are businesses and organizations operating in the fields of energy, education, agriculture , health and specialized services.

The representative of AusCham in Vietnam commented that Can Tho City is the leading city in the Mekong Delta region, with many potentials and prospects for developing high-tech agriculture, logistics services, renewable energy, etc. Therefore, AusCham in Vietnam wishes to learn about the development orientation of the city and the provinces in the Mekong Delta region, thereby connecting Australian businesses to explore investment cooperation opportunities, especially in the fields in which Can Tho City has strengths and is calling for investment...

Speaking at the reception, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen informed that from July 1, Can Tho City will merge with Hau Giang and Soc Trang provinces, opening up a large development space for the new Can Tho City with strong development prospects in marine economy , high-tech agriculture, along with trade, logistics, culture, health services, etc. Can Tho City also has a special mechanism, with many preferential policies specifically for domestic and foreign enterprises and investors.

The city leaders hope that AusCham in Vietnam will pay attention to and coordinate with the city's departments and branches to organize trade promotion forums, connecting businesses of AusCham with businesses of Can Tho; at the same time, support promoting investment cooperation in the fields of logistics, high-tech agriculture, etc. between businesses of the two sides in the coming time.
