In order to thoroughly treat waste in Thach Thanh district, in July 2022, DMS Construction and Environment Investment Joint Stock Company invested in a pilot project of microbiological technology combined with an automatic waste classification line at the Domestic Waste Treatment Area in Doi Ca, Thanh Tho commune with an area of 5 hectares, with a waste treatment capacity of 80-150 tons/day.

...then put into the waste treatment line combined with screening and classification.

The waste treatment facility here is divided into 3 stages. First, the waste transported to the treatment area is mostly contained in PP or PE bags, so there must be a bag-tearing step in a bag-tearing device to facilitate the biological incubation stage, ensuring that the waste is exposed to microorganisms.

Next is the fermentation process. The biological preparation is dissolved in water (1kg of preparation mixed with 100 liters of water) and sprayed evenly into the garbage in layers. The garbage is composted for 30 - 45 days, the biological fermentation will decompose the garbage to maturity, thereby reducing the humidity and weight of the waste, eliminating foul odors, flies and leachate.

The final step is to ensure that the composted waste is loaded into the automatic sorting system using cranes and loaders. The automatic sorting system will classify household waste into 3 product lines: Organic compost, inorganic waste, nylon, plastic and non-recyclable organic waste. Inorganic waste is sent to landfill or leveling; nylon and plastic are sent to be recycled into plastic granules; organic compost is sent to be used as raw material to produce organic fertilizer for cultivation.

Mr. Le Van Tam, CEO of DMS Investment, Construction and Environment Joint Stock Company, said: Over the time of operation, the microbiological waste treatment technology at the Domestic Waste Treatment Area in Doi Ca has shown many outstanding advantages such as: The treatment area has no bad smell, limiting flies, mosquitoes, and leachate. The rate of by-product recovery is high, the rate of waste that must be buried and the rate of waste that must be burned is quite low. Waste can be composted outdoors, without a roof, without affecting the quality of the composting process, and without having a negative impact on the surrounding environment.

The waste treatment area is applied with an automated system, reducing labor.

In the coming time, DMS Construction and Environment Investment Joint Stock Company will report to the authorities and will replicate this model in the province, thereby contributing to environmental protection and new rural construction.
