Thanh Hoa has 2 more students exempted from high school graduation exam and given priority for direct admission to university and college.

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has just issued a decision to exempt high school graduation exams and give priority to direct admission to universities and colleges in 2025 for 11 12th graders participating in the 2025 International Science and Technology Research Competition in the US. Of these, Thanh Hoa province has 2 students.

Nguyen Thi Linh Dan and Do Mai Hong Anh, 12th grade students, Lam Son High School for the Gifted (in uniform) attend the 2025 International Science and Technology Research Competition held in Columbus, Ohio, USA.

They are Nguyen Thi Linh Dan and Do Mai Hong Anh, both 12th grade students at Lam Son High School for the Gifted (Thanh Hoa City). These are 2 of 11 Vietnamese students who have just participated in the 2025 International Science and Technology Research Competition held in Columbus, Ohio, USA from May 10, 2025 to May 16, 2025 according to Decision No. 946/QD-BGDDT, dated April 9, 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training with 9 projects winning high prizes.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training requests the Departments of Education and Training to exempt these students from the High School Graduation Exam in the 2024-2025 school year according to the regulations of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations.

In addition, universities, academies, colleges and junior colleges will give priority to direct admission to universities and colleges in 2025 according to the regulations on university and college admissions for preschooleducation for these 11 candidates.

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training also announced a list of 133 students exempted from the High School Graduation Exam, with priority given to direct admission to universities and colleges in 2025. These are students in grade 12 in the 2024-2025 school year who will take the exam to select high school students for national teams to compete in international and regional Olympic competitions in 2025. Thanh Hoa province also has 2 students exempted from the exam: Nguyen Tien Thanh and Le Phu Quang, grade 12 students, Lam Son High School for the Gifted.
