Kindergarten principal stole things: Removed from office

Regarding the case of the female kindergarten principal stealing things at a department store, on May 16, news from the Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem District ( Vinh Long ) said that the unit had agreed with the request to resign from the position of principal of Ms. PTBH. At the same time, the staff of the People's Committee of Vung Liem District carried out the procedure to remove her from the position and assign the new principal to appropriate work.

Accordingly, the Party Cell of Trung Hiep Kindergarten (Trung Hiep Commune, Vung Liem District) - where Ms. PTBH is the principal, held a meeting to review party members for their behavior of stealing items from a department store, causing negative public opinion about the management staff, affecting the reputation of Ms. H. and the education sector. The meeting agreed to review and draw lessons for Ms. H., because the department store representative did not request to handle the violation and the value of the stolen items was very small, not enough to warrant disciplinary action.

Ms. H. submitted a resignation letter from the position of Principal of Trung Hiep Kindergarten. The Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem District agreed with the form of experience review of the Party Cell of Trung Hiep Kindergarten and Ms. H's resignation letter.

Ms. H. also submitted a request to resign from her positions in the Party and the Party Committee of Trung Hiep commune decided to dismiss her from the position of Party Cell Member and Party Cell Secretary of Trung Hiep Kindergarten, term 2024 - 2027.

As Thanh Nien reported, previously, the Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem District received photos of Ms. PTBH and photos of many items that she is said to have stolen from a department store in Vung Liem District.

Afterwards, Ms. H. reported the incident along with a prescription for a mixed anxiety and depression disorder. According to Ms. H.'s report, she was under pressure from work, had paranoia, and could not control her emotions, so on the evening of December 19, 2024, while shopping at the BHX store, she stole a box of dried plums and a box of chestnuts and put them in her bag and was discovered by the store staff.

In the report, Ms. H. also admitted that she had previously taken some products from this store. She cooperated with the store staff to process and pay the amount of more than 1.5 million VND (including purchased goods).

The department store employee wrote down Ms. H.’s information on a piece of paper and took a photo of her along with the products she was said to have stolen. The 2-minute, 20-second clip and the images were then circulated on social media.
