TPO - My Phuoc Tan Van Road is 62km long, a vital traffic route in Binh Duong , connecting with Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast region. Of which, more than 40km from Thu Dau Mot City to Di An City with 6 lanes is overloaded, cars are lined up in 3 rows. Particularly, the section from Ben Cat City to Bau Bang District has 10 lanes so it is clear. In the future, Binh Duong plans to invest in upgrading under the PPP form, with toll stations.

On December 19, Tien Phong newspaper reporters noted that My Phuoc Tan Van route (Binh Duong) from Di An city to Thu Dau Mot city through many industrial parks, heavy traffic volume led to congestion.

Due to the long traffic jam, at points without traffic police checkpoints, many cars encroached on the motorbike lane, lining up in 3 rows. At sections with police checkpoints, vehicles lined up in two long rows.

My Phuoc Tan Van Road from Ben Cat City to Bau Bang District has 10 lanes, so traffic congestion does not occur and the road is clear.

My Phuoc Tan Van Road is 62km long from National Highway 1A to Bau Bang District Administrative Center. Of which, the section from National Highway 1A to Thu Dau Mot City has 6 lanes; from the end of Thu Dau Mot City to Bau Bang District, the road has 10 lanes with a maximum speed of 80km/h.

Since 2020, the People's Council of Binh Duong province has approved the project to create landscapes and prevent traffic congestion on the province's main roads. In particular, My Phuoc Tan Van road will be upgraded under the form of public-private partnership (PPP), with a toll station installed.

The toll station is expected to be located near the intersection of My Phuoc Tan Van and Le Thi Trung streets (Thuan An City). The toll collection period is expected to last for 30 years, with a total estimated revenue of VND9,628 billion.

Regarding the reason why My Phuoc Tan Van road has been in use for many years but now has to set up a toll station, the project appraisal report said that the construction of the toll station is only a small item in the overall project to create landscape and prevent traffic jams on the roads.

The toll station is not to recover capital for the construction of My Phuoc Tan Van road, but to create capital to continue implementing many new important traffic infrastructure projects, with more positive impacts for businesses and people.

It is planned to invest in overpasses, underpasses on My Phuoc Tan Van road and residential roads to reduce traffic congestion with thousands of billions of VND.

With increasing traffic volume, upgrading My Phuoc Tan Van route is essential to create urban landscape and reduce traffic congestion.

Vehicles are congested in long lines during rush hour on My Phuoc Tan Van route, especially at sections with traffic police checkpoints, cars do not dare to encroach on motorbike lanes.

One of the reasons for traffic congestion on My Phuoc Tan Van Road is that there are many intersections with other roads that also have a lot of traffic. Therefore, investing in overpasses and underpasses is necessary.

My Phuoc Tan Van road through Thu Dau Mot city is congested. At this location, authorities monitor and handle vehicles encroaching on lanes.

Currently, the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Duong province is coordinating with relevant units to complete legal procedures and prepare a pre-feasibility study report for the investment project to complete My Phuoc Tan Van road under the PPP method.
