As citizens of Ho Chi Minh City, the characters in the article are all proud of the changes, progress and aspirations of the City in the past 50 years of development. Each person has their own assessment of the achievements of the City from different perspectives, but all share the same belief and desire for a dynamic, strongly developing Ho Chi Minh City with a vision for the new era to contribute to the overall development of the country.

I have been a child of Ho Chi Minh City since I was 8 years old. Even though I went to France at the age of 17 and returned to my country more than 40 years later (at the age of 58), the greatest luck and "fate" of my life is to live and be a citizen of Ho Chi Minh City until today when I am 80 years old.
This city is a place that holds many memories of the past and now every day allows me to live, work, feel new and progressive things as well as worry about things that have not been done or achieved in the city I love.
Cultural features create a city for people to remember, love it, including things that need to be changed and improved. You may remember the traffic jams, the dense air, the streets and sidewalks filled with bustling shops. However, besides that cultural feeling, I believe that along with the whole country, in the strong flow of innovation, our city keeps up and integrates with the development in the new era. At that time, the limitations will gradually be improved. That will certainly change very quickly in the coming time under the stormy innovation of our country today.
My love for Ho Chi Minh City is so deep, so passionate, so constant, so unconditional, and perhaps I will never have another "lover" besides Ho Chi Minh City. I love this city so much.
Proud to be a son of Ho Chi Minh City

As a military officer, I am always proud of the heroic achievements of the Vietnam People's Army in the cause of national liberation, preservation and protection of the Fatherland. Having been attached to Ho Chi Minh City for many decades, I am always proud to be a son of the City named after Uncle Ho.
I am proud of the achievements that this dynamic city has built, which is the increasingly modern urban appearance with skyscrapers, an expanded transportation system and spacious new urban areas. The narrow streets of the past have now been replaced by spacious boulevards, bridges connecting districts, and especially the metro system - a symbol of a city moving towards the future.
But it is not only the development of infrastructure, what moves me most is the spirit of innovation and creativity of the people here. For half a century, Ho Chi Minh City has become a promised land for those who have the desire to rise up. The spirit of daring to think, daring to do, the openness and strong integration of the City have created a dynamic environment, attracting talents from all over to start a business.
Not only focusing on economic development, the City also invests in education, healthcare, science and technology to improve the quality of life for its people. Modern hospitals, international schools, high-tech research centers… all show a promising future.
Looking back on the 50-year journey, I am not only happy but also full of hope. Ho Chi Minh City today is not only a big city of Vietnam but is also reaching out to the world, becoming a smart, modern, livable city.
I believe that, with what has been achieved and with the desire to constantly improve, this city will continue to develop more strongly, writing more proud pages of history . And I am truly proud to be a son of Ho Chi Minh City.
Ho Chi Minh City - ideal destination for dynamic young generation

As a young electrical engineer living and working in Ho Chi Minh City, I am truly proud to witness the city's daily changes over the years. I am always aware of my responsibility for the city's development. Ho Chi Minh City is not only where I live, but also a source of inspiration for me to strive to contribute to the sustainable development of the industry and the city.
For me, Ho Chi Minh City is a land of opportunity and inspiration. The multiculturalism of Ho Chi Minh City is also an attractive point. It can be affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City has been and is an ideal destination for the dynamic young generation.
The city offers a wealth of career prospects, especially in the technical field such as the electrical industry that I pursue. For example, large industrial zones such as the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park or Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone always need young electrical engineers to participate in the operation and optimization of energy systems.
I believe that our generation is the driving force for Ho Chi Minh City to enter the era of digital transformation and international integration. We grew up with technology, so accessing and applying solutions such as smart grids, automation or renewable energy is a natural strength. In addition, with foreign language skills and global thinking, we can act as a bridge to access global knowledge and wisdom.
The reform contributed to opening the door to a new era.

Over the past 50 years, the City has grown strongly, becoming the driving force for socio-economic development of the whole country, worthy of the trust and hope of the people of the whole country.
Our Vietnam is entering an era of national growth as General Secretary To Lam affirmed: "With all modesty, we can still say that: Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today."
Currently, our country is resolutely carrying out comprehensive reform and innovation from institutional reform and innovation to the arrangement of state agencies and administrative apparatus. I believe that this "renovation revolution" will open the door to a new era, and at the same time , be a strong driving force for our country to take off and develop sustainably.
This is also the time and opportunity for Ho Chi Minh City to take new steps in the process of economic development, build a better living environment for people, and at the same time contribute to the overall development of the country.
I am proud to live and work in beloved Ho Chi Minh City, proud to be a part of the City named after Uncle Ho, where solidarity, resilience and the desire to rise up are always supported and shine. With its strength and unceasing spirit of creativity, I believe that Ho Chi Minh City will continue to be the beacon guiding the development of the whole country in all aspects in the future.

As a citizen of the City named after Uncle Ho for nearly 40 years, I have witnessed the changes of the City every day. That brings me not only pride but also makes me feel like a happy citizen.
Maybe, we are still hesitant to talk about the weaknesses and limitations of the City in the development process. However, I always think that the movement of life, the hope of a society, a livable city that brings happiness to the people will be the motivation for each of us, the people and the City government, to be determined to build and develop our city to be greener - cleaner - more beautiful - happier.
And especially, with this administrative institutional revolution that is in line with the Party's will and the people's heart, Ho Chi Minh City will develop even further. People's lives will be improved materially while their cultural and spiritual lives will be enriched and meet both depth and breadth.
As a musician of Ho Chi Minh City, I still want to contribute more of my current musical works following the rhythm and development of the City and through music so that all people and the City government are determined to build Ho Chi Minh City into a livable and happy city.
Worthy of being the young generation of the City named after Uncle Ho

With their efforts and enthusiasm, I think today's young generation is the core force that is contributing greatly to the development of Ho Chi Minh City to join the whole country in entering a new era. Always proactive and pioneering in all fields, from scientific research, international integration, to innovation and service, dedication to the community. Young people will be the ones to contribute breakthrough and creative ideas, the spirit of daring to think and dare to do and the aspiration to conquer the pinnacle of knowledge to be worthy of being the young generation of the City named after Uncle Ho.
From responsibility as well as aspiration, our young generation needs to raise awareness and sense of responsibility of each individual, by each person must constantly develop themselves; constantly research, innovate, acquire new knowledge and technology, actively participate in social activities towards the community and activities contributing to environmental protection.
In the current new era, when the world is entering a period of strong development of artificial intelligence, biotechnology, big data and automation, the young generation must also quickly shape the way of working, living and communicating globally to contribute to the development of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general.
As the young generation of the electricity industry, we are aware that the electricity industry is transforming with the development of renewable energy and this is an opportunity to contribute to the construction of a sustainable electricity system, meeting the needs of Ho Chi Minh City - the economic center of the South. Therefore, each young cadre must constantly strive to update knowledge, cultivate enthusiasm to contribute more to the electricity industry and to the development of Ho Chi Minh City.
