On the afternoon of December 14th, the press conference preceding the SEA Games 33 semi-final match between the Vietnam U22 team and the Philippines U22 team took place at Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok).
Speaking at the press conference, coach Kim Sang Sik said: "We are very happy to have advanced to the semi-finals. However, our goal is not just to reach the semi-finals, but to achieve a higher position. Therefore, we will definitely fight our hardest to win tomorrow's match."
"The players are well-prepared tactically, physically, and mentally, so the Vietnam U22 team will definitely have a good match," the South Korean coach affirmed.
Coach Kim Sang Sik also praised the entire team for their improvement in the match against U22 Malaysia in the final round of the group stage.
He said: "In terms of personnel, many players have returned, so I think the team's organization has also improved. Although we previously beat the Philippines U22 team 2-1, we can't guarantee a win tomorrow."
However, the players are well-prepared, so I'm quite confident. No matter what happens in tomorrow's match, we will definitely fight and win."

Coach Kim Sang Sik said that the match at 3:30 PM tomorrow will be a difficult one for both teams.
He said: "Every team is determined to win. So I think the team that is better prepared physically and mentally will win. Our opponents have also improved in terms of organization and individual players. Therefore, we also need to prepare more thoroughly."
For his part, captain Khuất Văn Khang said that he and the whole team did not feel much pressure for this match.
He said: "Tomorrow's match will be very exciting to watch. Having reached the semi-finals, every opponent is formidable. This is the same team we faced in the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship and won 2-1."
"For tomorrow's match, the whole team isn't under much pressure. We've trained thoroughly and diligently throughout the tournament. The whole team will approach tomorrow with determination and confidence to win."
Van Khang also stated that the U22 Vietnam team is determined to win to dedicate the victory to the fans.
"Whether the next match lasts 90 minutes or 120 minutes, we will all have to give our best. On behalf of the whole team, I would like to thank the fans for their enthusiastic support. We hope to receive even more encouragement and support from the fans tomorrow."
