After helping Man City win the 2022/23 Premier League title in a spectacular way, coach Pep Guardiola has won two awards for best coach of the season presented by the Premier League Organizing Committee and the English Coaches Association (LMA).
This is the fourth time the Spanish strategist has received the Premier League's Coach of the Season award and the third time he has been honored by the English Managers' Association.
Pep Guardiola was last awarded the English Football Manager of the Year award in 2021. Last season, he was beaten by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp for both awards.
Currently, coach Pep Guardiola is only behind Sir Alex Ferguson, who received 5 LMA awards and was the best 11 times awarded by the Premier League Organizing Committee.
Speaking after winning the prestigious double, the Man City manager said: "I am very happy to be named the best manager. We are playing in the best league on the planet. I promise you that we will continue to have such success next season.
I want to thank everyone who helped me earn this recognition and share it with my fellow nominees. They all had an incredible season and deserve recognition."
Ahead of coach Pep Guardiola are two finals: the FA Cup (against Man Utd) and the Champions League (against Inter Milan).
He is aiming to win a historic treble for Man City, to match Sir Alex Ferguson. In 1999, the former Scottish coach helped Man Utd do this.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola's former student Vincent Kompany has been awarded the best coach in the English Premier League after helping Burnley win the championship and gain promotion to the Premier League next season.
