Jadet Meelarp announced right after the 0-2 loss to China: "First of all, I would like to apologize to the Football Association and Thai fans. As head coach, I have received many opportunities and good support from the Federation as well as the clubs. I have been helped with the team's preparation plan as well as personnel.

We are trying our best in every aspect. But the results are not as expected. The team's preparation, wrong judgment and my carelessness have caused the team to not achieve the goal. Although the staff, coaching staff and players are very determined, the team cannot meet the expectations of the fans.

Therefore, I would like to take responsibility and end my role. I hope the Federation will consider suitable individuals to continue carrying out the task. I would like to thank everyone for this opportunity, thank Thai football fans for always supporting me."

Jadet Meelarp and his team lost all 3 matches.

The statement was made immediately after the 0-2 loss to China in the early morning of April 10, when the team had not yet returned home. Thus, Thailand has suffered 3 consecutive losses (Uzbekistan 1-4, Saudi Arabia 1-3 and China 0-2) at the 2025 AFC U17 Championship in Saudi Arabia 2025.

Not only did Thailand fail to qualify for the 2025 World Cup in Qatar, they also caused disappointment due to numerous mistakes. In all three matches, they conceded a penalty. With a total of 9 goals conceded, Thailand and Afghanistan are the teams with the worst defense in the tournament, far surpassing the rest.

With this result, perhaps Jadet Meelarp's departure is the only option. The Football Association of Thailand also announced that they accepted his farewell. This agency affirmed that they will quickly find a new head coach to serve the campaign to hunt for tickets to the U17 World Cup next year because next October, Thailand will enter the U17 Asian qualifiers with the generation born in 2009 and later.
