On the evening of January 4, the last household in Vinh Cuong commune with 18.8 m² of land in the traffic corridor supported with more than 34 million VND agreed to hand over the land. This is the last household out of 473 organizations, families and individuals whose land must be recovered to implement the Project to Renovate and Upgrade Provincial Road 390, from Hop Thanh Bridge (Thanh Tan Commune) to the approach road to Quang Thanh Bridge (Vinh Cuong Commune).
Previously, the Chairman of Thanh Ha District People's Committee issued a decision to forcibly reclaim land from 10 households that had not accepted the compensation and support plan. According to the plan, the district will organize the enforcement on January 9.
However, after the decision was issued, the District Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council continued to persistently mobilize, propagate and persuade households to agree with the State's policy.
The project to improve and upgrade provincial road 390 was assigned by the People's Committee of Hai Duong province to Thanh Ha district to carry out the site clearance work, with a total land area of over 123,000 m². The route is over 5 km long, designed according to the standards of a grade III plain road with a width of 12 m.
According to the original plan, the project would start on December 5, 2023 and be completed in 415 days. However, due to land acquisition issues, the project progress has been delayed.
