Support of more than 119 million VND for 4 households affected by medium voltage power line fire

The Secretary of the Hong Ngu Ward Party Committee and the working delegation presented 114 million VND in support to 4 households whose houses were affected by the fire of the medium voltage power line at pole No. 61 Tran Hung Dao Street, An Thanh Hamlet, Hong Ngu Ward, Dong Thap Province.

At noon on November 10, Mr. Tran Ngo Minh Tuan - Secretary of the Party Committee of Hong Ngu Ward - together with the People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hong Ngu Ward, Dong Thap Province coordinated with Dong Thap Electricity Company to visit and encourage households affected by the fire.

The working group provided cash and essential goods to households whose houses were burnt down due to an electrical short circuit. Two households whose houses were severely damaged received VND50 million and VND48 million in support, while the remaining two households received VND10 million and VND6 million in support, respectively.

In addition, 5 million VND was provided separately to an elderly person who fell and was injured during the fire. The total amount of support was 119 million VND.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , at 7:35 p.m. on November 9, a fire broke out in a medium voltage power line at electricity pole number 61, Tran Hung Dao street, An Thanh hamlet, Hong Ngu ward.

After receiving the news, Hong Ngu Ward Police coordinated with the Hong Ngu Fire Prevention and Rescue Team and local people to put out the fire. At about 20:30, the fire was completely extinguished.

The fire injured one person and affected four houses. Two houses were severely damaged and two were partially burned, along with several motorbikes and household items.

The cause of the fire was determined to be an incident on the medium voltage power line, causing the wire to burn in many sections along the line, including at power pole number 61, the wire broke and fell onto a house, causing a fire.
