On the evening of May 19, the Ministry of Public Security announced that the Office of the Investigation Police Agency had prosecuted Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien (27 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City) for the crime of deceiving customers. In addition, 4 other people, leaders of Asia Life Joint Stock Company, were also prosecuted for the crime of producing counterfeit food products.
According to the results of the extended investigation, Kera vegetable candy supplement is a product of Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien and the shareholders of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company in cooperation. In which, the beauty queen enjoys the profit according to the capital contribution agreement, equivalent to 30%, the remaining shareholders contribute 70% of the shares.
The police agency determined that, with a total revenue of nearly 18 billion VND from selling more than 135,000 boxes of Kera vegetable candy, Thuy Tien alone was paid a commission of nearly 7 billion VND.
Subtle concealment of shareholder role in Kera vegetable candy case
Accordingly, in December 2024, Miss Thuy Tien announced a cooperation to launch a vegetable candy brand with Chi Em Rot Company, founded by Quang Linh Vlogs and Hang Du Muc. On her personal page with more than 2.6 million followers, Thuy Tien once announced "the launch of her brainchild". She once shared that "Kera candy comes from me personally", using the product because "I myself cannot eat vegetables".
In particular, she also participated in filming product advertising videos at vegetable gardens in Lam Dong and factories in Dak Lak. She also regularly posts promotional articles and appears in livestream sessions selling products. She, Hang Du Muc, Quang Linh Vlogs and a number of other individuals joined forces to advertise, causing consumers to misunderstand that the product "can replace green vegetables".

When a consumer complained that the candy did not contain the ingredients as advertised, the online community demanded that she take responsibility for the content she posted. She then deleted the product-related posts on her Facebook page with the blue tick.
A series of photos of Miss Thuy Tien sitting in the center of a meeting, next to Mr. Le Tuan Linh - Director and legal representative of Chi Em Rot Company - were also spread. These photos were once shared on the official fanpage of the Kera Vietnam brand, but were hidden immediately afterwards.
At the information meeting on March 14, Mr. Le Tuan Linh also said that Thuy Tien is just a KOL (influencer), promoting the product and does not receive any remuneration. Regarding the beauty queen saying that vegetable candy is her "brainchild", Mr. Linh said that this was just a joke, showing her appreciation for the product.
Notably, in two apology posts posted on her personal page, Thuy Tien affirmed that she advertised this product because she herself cannot eat vegetables and has been using it for several months. All the information she shared was based on the factory's information.
The beauty also said that before promoting, she was provided with full product certification documents. When controversy broke out, she immediately contacted the relevant parties and worked with the authorities to verify the information.

However, the investigation agency accused Miss Thuy Tien of knowing that on the test results attached to the announcement file, the information on the product label showed that the fiber content was very low, only 0.935%, not having much effect in supplementing fiber for people who are picky about eating vegetables; it was not known specifically what kind of raw materials Asia Life Joint Stock Company used to produce the candy.
By the end of February, when there was a controversy on social media regarding the fiber content in Kera candy, to avoid any impact, she proposed to sign a legal contract on advertising cooperation, to eliminate Tien's role as a shareholder.
Besides Kera vegetable candy, what other businesses does Thuy Tien run?
