This year, Vietnam and Japan celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations (1973-2023). Vietnam and Japan established an extensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia in 2014.
Over the past 50 years, the Vietnam - Japan relationship has continuously developed rapidly, achieving many great and comprehensive achievements in the fields of: Politics - diplomacy; economy - trade; security - defense. The Vietnam - Japan relationship has been consolidated, expanded, increasingly deepened, substantive, with high trust through regular visits and talks by senior leaders of the two countries. The dialogue mechanism between ministries, branches, and relevant agencies of the two sides has been maintained and established; timely initiatives have been proposed to promote cooperation between the two countries; creating a foundation to promote the development of Vietnam - Japan relations in various fields...
The good achievements of the 50-year history of cooperation and the similarity in strategic interests between the two sides are the "driving force" to elevate the Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations to a new height, promoting the increasingly strong and profound connection between the two peoples and two countries, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, actively contributing to the goal of peace, stability, prosperity, cooperation and development in the region and the world .
